Vouchnest

How to embed Twitter testimonials on your website

Tweets are authentic, public, and persuasive. Whether someone praised your product in a reply or shared a success story, here’s how to turn those tweets into permanent social proof on your site.

The universal snippet

Use Vouchnest to collect tweets, approve them, and embed them anywhere with two lines of HTML. No API keys, no rate limits, no complex setup.

HTML snippet

<script src="https://cdn.vouchnest.com/widget.js" data-space-id="YOUR_SPACE_ID" async></script>
<div id="vouchnest-wall"></div>

No API needed

Vouchnest handles Twitter API integration for you. Just paste a tweet URL or search by hashtag.

Moderate tweets

Only approved tweets appear on your wall. Review, edit, or discard any tweet before publishing.

Self-updating

Approve a new tweet in your dashboard and it appears on your wall instantly — no redeploy.

No code? Use the hosted wall page

Every Vouchnest space comes with a hosted wall at vouchnest.com/wall/your-space-slug. Share it as a link in your bio, email footer, or social profiles — no code needed.

  4. 4Approve each tweet — only approved tweets appear on your wall. You can edit the display text if needed.
  5. 5Copy your embed snippet and paste it anywhere. Tweets update automatically when you approve new ones.

Twitter publish embed

  1. 1Open the tweet you want to embed on twitter.com.
  2. 2Click the share icon (three dots) on the tweet and select 'Embed tweet'.
  3. 3Copy the generated HTML code that Twitter provides.
  4. 4Paste the HTML into your website using a Custom HTML block or embed element.
  5. 5Note: Twitter's native embed loads their full widget JS, which can affect page speed. Use Vouchnest for a lighter alternative.

Twitter API embed

  1. 1Apply for a Twitter Developer account and create a project to get API keys.
  2. 2Use the Twitter API v2 to fetch tweets by user timeline, hashtag, or query.
  3. 3Build a custom component in your app that renders tweets using Twitter's oEmbed API.
  4. 4Cache results to avoid rate limits — Twitter's free API tier allows only 100 requests per 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Can I embed old tweets?+

Yes. You can import any public tweet by pasting its URL into Vouchnest's Twitter import. Tweets from years ago work the same as recent ones — as long as they're still public.

Do I need Twitter API access?+

Not with Vouchnest. We handle the Twitter API on your behalf. You just paste a tweet URL or search by hashtag. If you're embedding directly via Twitter's native tools, you don't need API access either — just the tweet's embed code.

Will embedded tweets slow down my site?+

Twitter's native embed loads a heavy widget.js file. Vouchnest's widget is much smaller and loads asynchronously, so it won't block your page from rendering. For the best performance, use Vouchnest over native Twitter embeds.

Can I moderate which tweets appear?+

Absolutely. Every tweet imported into Vouchnest sits in your approval queue. You decide which ones to publish, edit the display text, or remove them entirely. Nothing goes live without your approval.

Do tweets update automatically?+

Tweets you've already imported are static snapshots. New tweets are only added when you import them and approve them. Your wall won't auto-pull every new mention unless you configure it to do so in your Vouchnest dashboard.
