How to embed testimonials on WordPress

WordPress gives you several ways to add your Vouchnest testimonial wall. Whether you’re using the block editor, classic editor, or a page builder — it only takes a minute.

Method 1: Custom HTML block (Gutenberg)

The simplest way for WordPress sites using the block editor (Gutenberg).

  1. Edit the page or post where you want the wall to appear.
  2. Click the + button to add a new block.
  3. Search for and select Custom HTML.
  4. Paste the Vouchnest widget code into the block.
  5. Preview to confirm it loads, then publish.

Method 2: Classic editor

For sites still using the classic editor, switch to the Text view and paste the embed code where you want the wall to appear.

  1. Edit your page in the classic editor.
  2. Switch from Visual to Text view.
  3. Paste the Vouchnest widget code at the desired position.
  4. Save and publish.

Method 3: Theme template file

For developers who want the wall on every page of a specific template, add the widget code directly to your theme files.

  1. Go to Appearance > Theme File Editor.
  2. Open the template file where you want the wall (e.g., footer.php, single.php, or page.php).
  3. Paste the Vouchnest widget code at the desired location.
  4. Save the file.

Warning: Changes to theme files may be lost when the theme updates. Use a child theme or the Custom HTML block instead for persistent changes.

Method 4: Widget area (sidebar or footer)

Many WordPress themes support widget areas. Add the Vouchnest widget to a sidebar or footer widget area.

  1. Go to Appearance > Widgets.
  2. Add a Custom HTML widget to your desired widget area.
  3. Paste the Vouchnest widget code.
  4. Save the widget.

Troubleshooting

The wall doesn't appear+

Some security plugins block external JavaScript. Check your firewall or security plugin settings and whitelist the Vouchnest domain if needed.

The layout looks wrong+

Your theme's CSS may conflict with the widget. Try adding the widget outside of themed containers (e.g., in a full-width block) or add custom CSS to override conflicts.

Can I use this with page builders (Elementor, Divi)?+

Yes. Use the HTML or Embed element in your page builder and paste the widget code. Elementor's 'HTML' widget and Divi's 'Code' module both work well.

Will the wall slow down my site?+

The Vouchnest widget is lightweight and loads asynchronously, meaning it won't block your page from rendering. It has minimal impact on load times.
