How to add testimonials to Elementor

Elementor makes it easy to embed custom HTML. Use the built-in HTML widget to paste a two-line Vouchnest snippet, or use the Shortcode widget for a cleaner workflow. Your testimonial wall updates automatically.

The universal snippet

This works in any Elementor HTML widget. Copy your space ID from your Vouchnest dashboard, replace YOUR_SPACE_ID, and paste both lines into the widget. No plugins, no shortcodes required.

HTML snippet

<script src="https://cdn.vouchnest.com/widget.js" data-space-id="YOUR_SPACE_ID" async></script>
<div id="vouchnest-wall"></div>

Self-updating

Approve a testimonial in your dashboard — it appears on the wall automatically. No redeploy needed.

Responsive

The wall adapts to any container width. Works on desktop, tablet, and mobile out of the box.

Fast-loading

The widget script is small and loads asynchronously — it won't block your page render.

No code? Use the hosted wall page

Every Vouchnest space gets a hosted wall page at vouchnest.com/wall/your-space-slug. Link to it from an Elementor Button widget or add it as an iFrame embed. No HTML required, and the wall updates the moment you approve new testimonials.

Platform-by-platform instructions

</>

HTML widget

  1. 1Open your WordPress page or post in the Elementor editor.
  2. 2Search for the 'HTML' widget in the Elementor panel and drag it onto your canvas.
  3. 3In the widget settings, paste the Vouchnest snippet into the 'HTML Code' field.
  4. 4Click 'Update' — the wall will render live on the front end of your site.
  5. 5Use Elementor's responsive controls to adjust the widget's width and padding per device.
S

Shortcode widget

  1. 1Install a WordPress plugin that converts HTML to shortcodes, or use your theme's functions.php to register a shortcode for the Vouchnest snippet.
  2. 2In Elementor, search for the 'Shortcode' widget and drag it onto your page.
  3. 3Enter your shortcode (e.g., [vouchnest_wall]) in the widget's shortcode field.
  4. 4Save the page — the shortcode will output the full testimonial wall.
  5. 5This approach keeps your Elementor content clean if you prefer shortcodes over raw HTML.
P

Elementor Pro template

  1. 1Create a new Elementor Pro Template (Theme Builder) or use an existing one.
  2. 2Add an HTML widget to your template and paste the Vouchnest snippet.
  3. 3Set the template to display on specific pages, posts, or archive pages via Elementor's display conditions.
  4. 4This lets you inject the testimonial wall in your theme header, footer, or sidebar site-wide.
  5. 5Pro tip: Combine with a theme template for a global testimonial section that appears on every page.
W

WordPress block editor fallback

  1. 1If you switch between Elementor and the WordPress block editor, use the 'Custom HTML' block as a fallback.
  2. 2Add a Custom HTML block to your page and paste the Vouchnest snippet.
  3. 3Elementor will preserve Custom HTML blocks added via the WordPress editor — they render inside an inner-content area.
  4. 4For the most reliable experience, use Elementor's native HTML widget instead of mixing editors.
  5. 5This fallback ensures testimonials stay visible even if you temporarily edit the page outside Elementor.
H

Hosted wall

  1. 1Every Vouchnest space gets a hosted wall page at vouchnest.com/wall/your-space-slug.
  2. 2Copy the URL and add it to your Elementor page using a 'Button' or 'Link' widget.
  3. 3Configure the button to open in a new tab so visitors don't leave your site.
  4. 4You can also embed the hosted wall URL inside an Elementor 'iFrame' widget if you prefer.
  5. 5Zero code required — ideal for sites where you want to avoid custom HTML entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Elementor Pro?+

No. The HTML widget and Shortcode widget are both available in the free version of Elementor. Elementor Pro gives you Theme Builder templates for site-wide placement, but the basic embed works perfectly on the free plan.

Will it work with any WordPress theme?+

Yes. Elementor overrides theme layout for pages you build with it, so the Vouchnest HTML widget will render regardless of your theme. It also works alongside any theme when using Elementor's canvas or full-width templates.

Can I style the testimonials?+

Yes. Vouchnest offers layout options like grid, carousel, and single quote, plus color and font customization from your dashboard. Elementor's own CSS classes won't affect the widget internals, but you can style the container element around it.

Does Elementor cache affect the embed?+

It can. If you use Elementor's built-in CSS cache or a third-party caching plugin, the widget might serve an old version. Clear Elementor's cache under Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS, and purge any server cache after making changes to your testimonials.
